On Saturday, October 14th, 2023, Faye Purbrick, the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for Glastonbury and Somerton, hit the streets of Glastonbury to meet with residents and discuss pressing local issues.
Joined by Mark Shelford, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon and Somerset, Faye engaged in conversations with residents, focusing on the improvement of street safety and addressing the priorities and concerns of locals.
The day’s activities reflected a commitment to understanding and responding to the needs of the constituency.
The campaign trail also led to serious discussions about the recent closure of a local pharmacy, a pressing concern for the Glastonbury residents that Faye and local councillors are actively seeking to address.
Optimism was in the air as they hinted at positive developments on the horizon, suggesting that good news could be forthcoming.
The day was rounded off with a visit to a fundraising event at the Avalon Club, where the classic combination of supporting good causes and cake underscored the theme of connecting with residents in a shared goal for the betterment of the local area.
